Get Original, Keep it real, Get it tiny

11

I’m sure everyone reading these words has at least once been stuck in that frustrating situation when you have a good friend’s Birth Day coming up and ..after so many years of friendship and Birthdays… you just feel like all the good presents you’ve already bought… Or worse… your friend has it all, you need to be original and rather more creative.

Sure sometimes that friend’s just you needing some cheerful sip of rainbow to color your day.

Don’t panic. Just think. That friend has a pet, or favorite cartoon character, for sure. Or would she mind carrying a small mini micro monkey as a charm in the Chinese Red Fire Monkey year…to bring her luck and prosperity? Or just for fun? She’d love to.

Get original, get a tiny version of what they’re into. Make a miniature present.
Or make an extraordinary addition to a conventional present.
Here you can get a glimpse of some of my favorite miniatures made on custom order. All they were born of is a picture I was sent by the customer, tones of positive attitude and my love towards art and miniatures.

Miniature Crochet Baby Monkey with Baby Bottle

IMG_2004

Say hello to this little and sweet baby monkey. I’ve made several different types of monkeys so far but this time I wanted to make a baby monkey, which will make you smile every time you see it. It has funny and cute face expression and little baby bottle.

This little baby monkey is only 3 cm / 1.2 inches when standing and 2 cm / about 0.8 “ in sitting position. The baby bottle is also crocheted and it is 1.5 cm / 0.6”.
This monkey is thread jointed and it can move its head, arms and legs. The small size makes this monkey perfect for every dollhouse or collection of miniatures.
Here are a few photos I hope you like them :)

My First Crochet Miniatures

283629_186454501482805_184087588_n

Hello everyone,
This is my first post here and I’m really excited about that. I’ve worked on my shop recently and I didn’t have enough time to write here, but I will definitely try to post more often.
Here in the Miniature Crochet World Blog you will find lots of pictures of my latest creations, more information about what I’m working on at the moment, what’s coming up next, and more “behind the scenes”.

This will also be a place for fun, sweepstakes, contests and everything that could make people enjoy my work even more.

How I started making crochet miniatures?

A few years ago I “accidentally” read an article about dollhouse miniatures where there was an amazing video that was showing a whole new world for me. It was the magical world of miniatures. Before that I didn’t even imagine such world existed. At that moment I fell in love with this tiny version of the real world and decided to try. I love crocheting and it was fun to apply my hobby in tiny world of minis.

I really love my work and in fact I don’t feel it like a work.. It is a challenge for me to recreate different characters or real life animals and pets into miniature and tiny crochet versions.

Here are a few pictures of some of my first miniatures:
